As we continue to learn more about SCOTUS nominee Sam Alito, the vibe coming from the Senate seems to be his confirmation is becoming a lock. And yet the more we learn, the scarier his nomination becomes.USA Today has done a series of editorials on the nomination. Here's the lead from Monday's editorial:
When Samuel Alito was a Justice Department lawyer in the 1980s, he wrote that he saw no legal problem with a police officer shooting and killing an unarmed 15-year-old who was fleeing from a $10 burglary.
